Eva

Alone in her mind
But not even there
more than alone
disconnected

Glassy-eyed and
yet
there’s a twinkle
there
hope, a joy
there
a time’s past
there
she’s still
there.

Heavenly Father, respecting the dignity of others gets very complicated, and I have a lot to learn. Grant me the wisdom and creativity I need to follow the example of Jesus and serve others as he would. Transform my view of those with dementia and allow me to see Jesus in them and treat them with the same dignity that I would see in my Savior. I pray this for my good, the good of those I know with dementia, and for your honor. Amen*
